Annually The 100 Black Men of Atlanta organization hosts the Atlanta Football Classic (AFC) to fund its core program, Project Success. The 2011 game marked the 25th anniversary of the AFC, but the iconic, historic halftime show could not take the field. The legendary show featuring the “Battles of the Bands” was missing one of its marquis bands: Florida A&M University had been suspended after a tragic hazing incident.
LIQUID SOUL embraced the entertainment challenge head-on and developed the game’s first halftime show without a “Battle of the Bands.” Instead, the crowd went wild over a show featuring Chaka Khan, Doug E Fresh, and hip-hop artist Future.
